ABSTRACT
The issue of providing simulators to support the training and maintenance of qualifications for operational personnel of electricity distribution system operators (DSOs) is examined. DSO dispatchers in Ukraine require modern technical tools for training and maintaining their qualifications due to the increasing complexity of electrical grids and frequent violations of operating conditions.
Emergency response drills are the primary form of training, instruction, and skill reinforcement for handling emergency situations and accidents. Traditional forms of training organization currently in use at DSOs do not fully ensure the development of consistent behavioral patterns and action strategies for trainees in specific emergency situations.
The development of a technological process for creating emergency response simulators for OSR personnel, based on models of OSR dispatchers’ activities during emergency situations is presented. The technology is designed to enable expert organizers without programming skills to create emergency response training simulators based on real emergency response training programs currently in use at OSR enterprises.
