ABSTRACT

The features of applying the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method for analyzing the efficiency of scientific and publishing activities of agricultural higher education institutions (HEIs) of Ukraine are determined, the optimal parameters of educational resources are determined. To analyze the effectiveness, it is recommended to choose the VRS-input-oriented model, as well as input and output factors that characterize the specifics of scientific and journalistic activities. According to the results, in 2023, 35% of Ukrainian agricultural higher education institutions had the maximum net technical efficiency of scientific and journalistic activities. The average net technical efficiency of Ukrainian agrarian higher education institutions in 2023 was 0,9. Based on the estimated values of efficiency, the rating of agricultural HEIs for 2023 was compiled. It has been determined that most agrarian HEIs operate in the IRS zone, which indicates the need to increase the scale of their activities. The optimization of resources for inefficient HEIs according to the DEA method is recommended.
