ABSTRACT
A considerable expansion of the spectrum and volume of modern switching and protective de¬vices used in distribution networks is required for increasing reliability of the electric-power sup¬ply. Therewith, the choice of optimal composition and allocation of the above-mentioned equip¬ment is of great importance. In this connection, experience of the decision of similar problems in various countries of the world is considered in this work. This review can help one to formulate the main principles of developing models of optimization of distribution networks reliability, which are most suitable for the domestic power companies.
