ABSTRACT
The author considers peculiarities of pulsed electric current passage across the border surfaces of electrodes when their electrical conductivity at the both surfaces is of a multilayer character. It was shown in the 2-D calculation model how the increase of the relative motion of electrodes led to the field and current concentration in the angular zone of contact. A set of different laws of electrical conductivity from layer to layer was taken. The results of simulation indicate the possibility to improve the current density distribution along the contact surface at some laws of electrical conductivity distribution from layer to layer of electrodes. It is shown that a decrease of electrical conductivity of surface layers especially at the moving electrode allows avoiding the extreme concentration of current density at the trailing edge of moving electrode even at the significant growth of the relative motion velocity of electrodes (up to 2.5 km/sec).
