Proximate Method for Determining Heat Fluxes in Deep Wells

ABSTRACT

A proximate method for determining thickness and density of the heat flux from the subsurface to the space of a deep well with circulating drilling fluid has been considered. The method allows one to predict the heating temperature of flushing and plugging fluid on the well face, to determine thermal parameters of the rock mass by the data on the thermogram, well design, thermal parameters and process conditions of drilling fluid circulation and energy expenditure for mechanical drilling.
